Tom’s big adventure

Yes, it’s been some time since my last apology for not writing more. It’s been busy, and being locked down doesn’t exactly lend itself to exciting news. Would you like to hear about my daily trek to the coffee shop across the street? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

But all that’s changed now.

A couple of days ago, I arrived to Chengdu, Sichuan, to enroll in cooking school. Even taking the flight out of Beijing was something of a leap of faith, as my world for the past few months has been very small, and most certainly not jet-propelled.

But leap I did, and now here I am.
